You go to a meet up. Someone asks you the question, 'What do you do?'
So... what do you say?
I go to network events all the time, and see that most people are not ready for this situation. In fact, two things regularly happen.
Firstly, they either talk for five minutes, giving all kinds of details that the listener has no interest in.
Or secondly, they say something like, 'Oh, yes, what do I do? Well, erm, where should I start? It's quite complicated, actually, but I will try to explain...'
Neither of these two answers give the other person a big incentive to ask more questions - it is clear this talk will take a lot of time!
